Welcome! I look forward to working with you on your journey to find freedom with food. I'm Alyssa, a Registered Dietitian and Certified Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian (CEDRD). My approach to nutrition focuses on connection to one's body. I utilize principles of intuitive eating, mindful eating, and Health at Every Size to provide individualized nutrition counseling. I believe every person has a story to tell about food. Together we will work to understand that story and heal your relationship with food along the way.
I received a Master's degree in Clinical Nutrition from NYU and completed my dietetic internship at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Villanova University. I have over 10 years of experience working with eating disorders throughout levels of care. Previously, I worked at numerous eating disorders centers including: University Medical Center at Princeton, Oliver Pyatt Centers, and Clementine Miami. Throughout my career, I have provided medical nutrition therapy, nutrition counseling, and meal support to adults and adolescents with eating disorders.
My practice specializes in eating disorders, intuitive eating, and family nutrition. Each client receives an individualized approach and treatment plan. My goal is to provide nutrition education that empowers individuals. When not at my practice, I work as an adjunct professor and clinical coordinator for dietetic interns at Florida International University.
I know there are a lot of nutrition messages out there. Together we will sort through them and learn how food works in your body. I hope to reconnect you to the joy of eating and help you discover the sunny side of food!
